Linked is a fascinating look at networks and the laws that govern their growth. If that sounds dull, it's surprisingly not. There are some amazing things about networks and it's refreshing to see how many things around us act like networks even though we don't necessarily think of them as such.

In this book, you see how many things and systems are actually networks. This is helpful when you start to match the behavior of networks onto these other systems and you begin to understand how things like the "network" of AIDS patients is not unlike a network of computers or actors linked by N degrees of separation from, say, Kevin Bacon...
